Founded in 2006, Operation Smile South Africa (OSSA) medical volunteers provide free constructive surgeries to children and adults throughout Southern and Central Africa. OSSA also places an emphasis on providing training and educational opportunities to both its volunteers and rural health care providers in order to build capacity and create self-sustainable systems in South Africa. Operation Smile has provided Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support training to doctors throughout South Africa.
OSSA is part of a global non-profit medical services organisation that has over the past 29 years provided care to over 150 000 children and adults worldwide and currently has a presence of over 60 countries.

The Adopt- a-School Foundation was established in 2002 with the purpose of addressing the needs of underprivileged schools throughout the country. The needs of our country’s young people are paramount – and for a good future we need to ensure their education. 2011 marked the adoption of our 100th school, the list continues to grow.
With an investment of over R50 million, we’ve built 2 entire new schools, added amongst other structures over 120 new classrooms, computer centres, science labs, administration blocks, ablution facilities and renovated over 25 schools. We’ve provided nearly 3000 temporary jobs, benefitted 185 SMMEs and supported ongoing training for educators and principals. In addition we have donated 446 soccer and netball kits and given literacy support to over 700 Grade 1 to 4 learners.

Cotlands is a long-serving South African 'non-profit' agency that continues to meet the ever-changing needs of children impacted by HIV/AIDS in our country. Founded in 1936, Cotlands was originally created as a care centre for unwed mothers and their infants, and over the years has evolved into a shelter for abused, abandoned, HIV positive, orphaned and terminally ill children from birth to fourteen years of age.
With headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa, our activities have reflected the changing needs of our society and we have increased both the quality and quantity of services we provide.
2001 - 10 years
Founded by Gail Johnson in April 1999 and named in honour of her 12 year old foster son and in memory of his biological mother who was unable to look after him, Nkosi's Haven was officially opened on 14th April 1999.
This Foundation seeks to raise funds for, amongst others, the following primary objectives:
Establishing, maintaining and sustaining communal environments for PWAs;
Supporting beneficiary organisations such as the Nkosi's Havens; Establishing educational and training trusts for PWAs; and
Raising awareness of and destigmatising HIV/Aids in South Africa, and indeed the rest of the world.
2001 - 10 years
Almost all rural schools have one lack in common – educational resources. It is in this need that the Rally to Read provides.
For the past 11 years sponsors, organisers and participants of the Rally have visited the most remote and needy schools in rural areas to deliver books, teaching aids, science kits, sports equipment, educational toys and other material – all of which are taken for granted at urban schools.
Since inception, over R31-million has been spent on improving the quality of education at 554 remote, rural schools.

The Robin Good Initiative was formed to facilitate a flow of goods from the excess of those that have, to the needs of those that have not.
Rather than initiated new feeding schemes, it channels goods through existing organisations concerned with the relief and uplifting of the poor on a daily basis, as a type of 'wholesaler', but without the selling or any form of charge.
Currently Robin Good supplies ±40,000 meals per month, which can include clothing, toiletries, blankets, furniture, and toys.
2002 - 9 years
"Thuthuka" is a Zulu verb, meaning "to develop", indicating the action-based perspective with which transformation is being driven.
Since its inception in 2002, Thuthuka has grown from one provincially-based project to over 20 projects (counting the DTS/Thuthuka Maths and Science Development Camps each as a separate project – 8 in total) throughout South Africa. The number of potential candidates reached is significant, and the results of the programmes are providing indications of the impact to be made. This has been achieved through Thuthuka's ability to identify the salient barriers and to devise and implement programmes that address these barriers effectively. While growth in projects is imperative, increasing impact, achieving sustainable funding and nationwide expansion remain critical objectives of Thuthuka.
The purpose of the project is to annually place between 250 - 300 fully bursared Black African and Coloured students at selected SAICA-accredited universities in cohorts of 50 per university on special undergraduate BCom Accounting education programmes. The accredited universities that are part of the programme are the University of KwaZulu-Natal, University of Johannesburg, Stellenbosch University, University of Pretoria, University of Cape Town, Free State University and the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.

Founded in 1999, SSP has achieved a decade of success. The Student Sponsorship Programme is a South African non-profit trust that enables academically talented, low-income students to excel at the country's best secondary schools. SSP achieves this through financial assistance, mentoring and leadership development.
SSP's success factors are: meticulous selection of students, engaged institutional and individual sponsors, strong relationships with partner schools, a critical mass of SSP Scholars at each school, mentoring, personal development, and support for Scholars and families. SSP finances five years of high school education at schools in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape in South Africa. Students are recruited from primary schools based on academic excellence, financial need and leadership potential.

The Cass MBA is more than a world-ranked general management programme accredited by Association of MBAs (AMBA) and European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).
The entire full time MBA programme, delivered in the heart of London, is taught within a truly global context. Students are part of a diverse cohort, taught by worldwide faculty in one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. Learners experience working in Poland on the Emerging Markets Consultancy Week and the chance to gain first hand exposure to challenging new business environments such as China, Dubai, South Africa and India through electives offered. There's no better preparation for global management.
Ethos sponsors full tuition fees for the one-year, full time MBA programme. Recipients of our scholarship are strictly South Africa students, who come from previously disadvantaged backgrounds. We insist that all bursary scholars bring their learnt skills back to South Africa and play a role in the development of our country's economy and democracy.
